What is a Deductible?
This is the amount that the client must pay in the event of an insurance claim. For example, the cost of hospital treatment is $1,000. The deductible according to the tariff is 25%. This means that the client pays $250, and the insurance company pays $750. Thus, the amount is divided between the client and the insurance company according to the terms of the tariff plan.
If the tariffs are without a deductible, the insurance company pays for the treatment of the injured party on its own. The client does not need to pay anything.
