Costa Brava multi activity tour
If you are passionate about trekking and sports in general, and you just love the sea, what else is better than doing a route along the coastal paths of la Costa Brava following the GR-92 and combining it with a cycling route and kayaking trips?
From El Port de la Selva, Cap de Creus, across the gulf of Roses, Montgrí, and Begur's mountains, Platja d'Aro to Sant Feliu de Guíxols. In ten days you will be able to discover a great part of the northeastern coast of Spain: la Costa Brava.
The special aspect of this walking tour is the combination of different sports such as cycling and kayaking, so that you will be able to discover part of Spain in a really active and entertaining way.
PROPOSAL - Daily schedule
1st day_Transfer from Barcelona or Girona airport to El Port de la Selva.
2nd day_Walking route from El Port de la Selva to Cadaqués (about 23km). Once in Cadaqués, you can do a sea route in a typical Catalan boat.
3rd day_Walking route from Cadaqués to Roses (about 20km). We recommend an e-bike route across the Aiguamolls of l'Empordà or a taste of typical products of l'Empordà region such as wine and olive oil.
4th day_Walking route fom Roses to Sant Pere Pescador (about 26km). One of the best places to practice kitesurfing!
5th day_Kayaking route from Sant Pere Pescador to l'Escala (about 4h). In l'Escala you can visit its different museums, its Roman and Greek ruins (Empúries), or practice a great variety of water related sports.
6th day_Walking route from l'Escala to l'Estartit (about 14km). You can experience for the first time the real feeling of scuba diving in one of the best sites of the world: the Medes Islands.
Optional activity/day >> you can spend an extra night in l'Estartit so the following morning you can kayak to the Medes Islands and discover this natural reserve from really close.
7th day_Cycling route from l'Estartit to Palamós (about 52km). Palamós is greatly known for its port and sailing tradition, just like l'Escala. We suggest you to do a snorkeling tour around its coast, so you will be able to relax and have a look at all the varied underwater fauna you can find around the Mediterranean.
8th day_Walking route from Palamós to Sant Feliu de Guíxols (about 18km). Sant Feliu de Guíxols is a quiet town. You can take a walk along its port or, if you are feeling adventurous, you can discover its via ferrata: the only one over the sea you'll find in Europe!
Optional day >> you can spend an extra night in Sant Feliu de Guíxols relaxing on the beach, mainly.
9th day_Transfer from Sant Feliu de Guíxols to Girona or Barcelona airport.
The price of this package includes bed & breakfast accommodation, private car transfers from the airport to the hotel and vice versa, as well as the rental of all the equipment you may need regarding the cycling and kayaking activities. As supplements you'll find luggage transfer and the services of a guide as well as all the extra activities you would like to do during your holidays.
