Take one more step and become a professional diver.

With this course you will help you increase your confidence when diving and consolidate what you learned during your PADI Open Water Diver course. You will discover new capabilities always by the hand of a PADI instructor.

You will hone your skills and technique by taking 5 different adventure dives:
2 of them compulsory

  • underwater navigation

  • deeper water diving

3 more at your choice

  • wreck diving

  • diving with NITROX

  • search and recovery

  • night diving

  • dry suit diving

  • underwater naturalist

  • peak performance buoyancy

Conditions of PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER course in l'Escala

This course has a duration of 3 to 5 days.

In order to take this course, you will have to:

  • submit your PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent) certification,

  • be, at least, 15 years old (12 for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver), and

  • submit a valid medical certificate

The knowledge and skills you get vary according to the type of adventure dives that you choose, but they include:

  • practical aspects of deep diving

  • physiological effects of deeper scuba diving

  • more ways of using your underwater compass

  • how to navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time

  • how to improve the use of your dive computer and electronic Recreational Dive Planner TM (eRDP TM)

  • and much more, depending on the adventure dives that you choose

The price of this course includes all the teaching material, your diving equipment, your diving insurance (throughout the course) and a certification.

In order to take this activity, you must no have heart problesm,

No pregnant women or people with heart, respiratory or ear problems will be allowed to book this activity.
Not flying fly for at least 12 hours after diving is highly recommended.


1) Underwater Navigation
You will improve your sense of direction and will be able to guide yourselves much better underwater.

2) Deep Diving
After your first scuba dives, soon you will soon want to explore what's a bit deeper.
In this case, this activity is usually practiced anywhere from 18 to 30 meters.

3) Wreck Diving
You will learn the technique for diving exploring shipwrecks and how to avoid its most common hazards.

4) NITROX (enriched air)
It's a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen. The percentages of oxygen concentrations can be modified according to the depth of your diving.
Its main advantage is that it allows you to dive deeper with more no decompression dive time.

5) Search and Recovery
You will learn effective ways to find objects lost underwater and bring them to surface

6) Night Diving
Even though you already know the dive site, at night you will see everything from a whole new perspective.
You will also discover new creatures that only come out after sunset.

7) Dry Suit Diving
Unlike the wetsuit, the dry suit will isolate you from the outside water and keep you warm. Even in surprisingly cold water.

8) Underwater Naturalist
Discover the flora and fauna of the ecosystems in which you dive as well as the way they interact with each other and the environment.

9) Peak Performance Buoyancy
It improves the basic skills you learned in your PADI Open Water Diver course and it takes them to the next level.
