Walking route in Besalú and Banyoles following the Fluvià
Discover, on foot, the river Fluvià between Besalú and Banyoles, from the mountains of Alta Garrotxa to Banyoles' lake.
The guides will show you the complex fluvial system that links all this area, as well as the different formations and natural accidents that provoked the water flow.
Of all the different and memorable locations that you will visit during the route, we highlight Salt del Martís, a prehistoric lake, Congost del Portell, the rivers Ser and Fluvià, the Prehistoric Caves of Serinyà and the church of Sant Miquel de la Roca.
This activity is part of a group of routes that follow the course of Fluvià river across the province of Girona.
Conditions of Walking route in Besalú and Banyoles following the Fluvià
This activity will be done on Saturdays and Sundays.
9:30am is the suggested hour in order to begin. And the Caves of Serinyà will be the meeting point with the guides.
The whole route is round so, it will start and finish right at the same place.
The total route is 14km long and has a slope of 110m. The activity lasts for about 3h.
During summer time, we recommend you to bring water, sunscreen and something to protect yourselves from the sun (a cap or sun glasses, for example).
