Route across volcanoes and the Fluvià river in Olot
Garrotxa and Olot are unique areas because of their volcanic past.
With this walking and guided route following Fluvià river across Olot and Garrotxa, you will discover what kind of interactions had volcanic 'colades' with the river in different time periods.
All these interactions through history changed the landscape of the region dramatically: they created aquifer systems, landscape erosions, etc.
During the whole route, you will have the opportunity of observing how these terrain elements interact: which effects caused the river flow through the city of Olot and which uses had the Fluvià river during history.

Conditions of Route across volcanoes and the Fluvià river in Olot
This activity will be done on Saturdays and Sundays.
10am is the suggested hour in order to begin. And the Fonts of Sant Roc, in Olot, will be the meeting point with the guides.
The whole route is round so, it will start and finish right at the same place.
The total route is 6km long and has a slope of 30m. The activity lasts for about 2h.
During summer time, we recommend you to bring water, sun screen and something to protect yourselves from the sun (a cap or sun glasses, for example).
