Costa Brava megalithism & ecologic vineyards
A walking route across Serra de l'Albera in Alt Empordà (the Northern part of Costa Brava), a land full of nature, wine and historical remains such as dolmens and menhirs. This route does not solely focus on Spanish megalithic culture as a great part of it will consist of visiting a small family wine cellar where grapes have been grown for four generations.
Can Torres wine cellar is located near Vilartolí (Sant Climent Sescebes) and is one of those few associations that has awarded their wine producers of contributing to the well conservation of the landscape and biodiversity of the area.
The cellar is surrounded by fields, vineyards, olive fields and cork forests. The route will being from the very Can Torres cellar.
The walking route will take you across l'Albera, an intense land. You will walk through a granitic landscape full of dolmens, menhirs and natural lakes (such as the ones of La Gutina).
Conditions of Costa Brava megalithism & ecologic vineyards
This guided walking route across Serra de l'Albera (Alt Empordà, Northern Costa Brava) will be available for groups of people, from 5 pax to 15, during autumn, winter and spring. The whole summer season is avoided then.
The meeting point with the guide will be at 8am in Can Torres (located near Vilartolí, Sant Climent Sescebes, on the North part of Costa Brava), a small wine cellar where grapes have been grown for four generations. This walking route is meant to be finished around 1pm. The whole activity usually lasts about 5 hours.
Kids will always be more than welcome if they are, at least, 12 years old and are accompanied by an adult.
It is not necessary to have previous experience when booking this activity as it is not an specially demanding route. We only ask you be in a good shape.
We recommend you to bring:
- Comfortable and sport clothing, adapted to weather conditions (wind, cold, etc.)
- Trekking shoes
- All food and beverage you may need during the activity
